SUPERHUMAN SHOW (2024)

Where vulnerability is a superpower

Family show (6+)

Come and see! Come and see! Today you will get to know four superhumans. Four people who can do everything, have everything and are everything. In this special talent show they will compete for the title of SUPERHUMAN, because there can only be one best. You will see them shine and you will see them make wonderful mistakes. But is it okay to make mistakes?

In this crazy, visual and musical outdoor theatre performance you are invited to a special talent show. There is no room for emotion and imperfection in the pursuit of being superhuman – until the candidates turn against the system and rebel together with the audience. Because sharing all kinds of emotions, isn’t that exactly our superpower? The SUPERHUMAN SHOW is a musical theatre performance that starts as a talent show and degenerates into a big party of togetherness.

De Werf is a successful collaboration between Nationale Jeugdorkesten Nederland from Apeldoorn and Theater Gajes and the Theaterschip from Deventer. De Werf is a development location for young professionals from the eastern Netherlands. These young performing arts practitioners follow an 18-month traineeship in which they research, experiment, create performances for young people and for the entire family and conclude the trajectory with an (individual) performance.
