EEN BOOM HOEFT NIET ZO NODIG OP REIS a poetic performance with musical elements. This performance, specially made for Deventer op Stelten, tells a story about (in)accessibility. Two people meet in a park. A game of repulsion and attraction ensues. While the possibility of rapprochement exists, the two do everything in their power to increase the distance between them. Until the moment of dejection when one ends up on the ground and the other high up in the tree on a swing. In the returned calm, a man suddenly emerges from the ground there. He unfolds like a plant with his feet grounded in the earth. Then, from a planter, a woman also emerges. They see each other, want to reach each other but can do nothing but be where they are. Standing where they are.
