HET BELOOFDE LAND is a theatrical social experiment that culminates in an intense performance and many conflicting feelings. HET BELOOFDE LAND gives the spectator a chance to become part of a new social group and lose himself in we/they thinking.
After a selection process conducted by many alienating officials, the spectator is selected for ‘the promised land’ of one of the two popular leaders. There, he is allowed to be part of the group to discover how quickly xenophobia arises.
